On now 4 occasions, I have had an accelerator stuck in wide open condition. On 3 of them, it involved passing at highway speeds, and on the latest (10/22/16), it happened on a hard acceleration in city conditions while accelerating from slow to faster speed. In each event, pressing on the brake did hold back speed, but full acceleration resumed if brake was released at all. Very lucky to have avoided accident / death!

I was on the interstate 30 East bound just East of downtown fort worth traveling at 55 mph in my 2009 F 150. I began accelerating to overtake a slower vehicle. The throttle stuck at what seem to be a wide open position, I had passed the car and let off the gas and pressed the brake 3 times before for the truck stopped accelerating and I had reached a speed of 95 mph before I was able to get the truck back under control. It seemed like the throttle was stuck for around 10 seconds, which was a very scary 10 seconds. I just finished reading a few forums where the dealership said it was the rubber floor mats that caused the problem. Well I have not put floor mats in my truck so that was defiantly not the cause of the problem.
