Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. While the vehicle was parked, the electronic door switches failed to unlock the doors. The failure recurred intermittently. The contact mentioned that the door was opened manually. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 115,000. The contact owns a 2011 Ford F-150. The contact stated that all four automatic interior doors locks failed to unlatch. The failure recurred various times whenever the malfunction occurred. The occupant was forced to exit out of a nearby window. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the rear driver and front passenger side latch assembly was replaced. In addition, the contact replaced the rear passenger's side latch assembly. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000. Updated 03/05/14
