Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2012 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 45 mph with the rear window defroster engaged, the defrost warning indicator was intermittently illuminated. The contact turned the defroster off and back on, and the defrost warning indicator would not illuminate. The contact pulled over and discovered that the rear passenger side of the rear window shattered and the wiring inside the window was melted. Driving down the road and had turned on the rear window defogger. I hear a loud pop which startled me. I later noticed that my passenger side rear window had spidered or shattered completely. The rear window is a three-panel window with the center window having electronic opening.
