We have replaced the egr twice in this truck and both times it was at our expense, not only that but we have had to replace it twice in our other '05 the second time at our expense. The truck and engine are good other than this stupid egr bs and not only is it an expensive repair it also decreases the fuel economy. Ford really screwed up when they took the 7.3L diesel engine off the market because our truck with 250,000 miles is still going strong while our newer trucks keep breaking down. It is getting old. And another thing my husband works out of his truck, so when it breaks down he don't make any money so pile that on top of the already ridiculous repair cost and it really costs us because this repair takes at minimum 2 days sometimes a week depending on when the dealership gets to it.
