Problem occurred twice the same day, Travelling in stop and go traffic during morning rush hour in Austin, TX. Attempted to stop truck and came within 6 inches of the vehicle in front. Travelling at 1 to 2 mph the truck would not stop until I applied full pressure on the brake pedal.
During afternoon stop and go traffic, travelling at 1 to 2 mph, needed to come to a complete stop and was not able. Applied as much pressure as I could but the truck hit the vehicle in front. Heard engine race right at time I was stopping and heard a popping sound like a backfire while braking.
