DRVING FROM MASSACHUSETTS TO FLA THE BEARING GOES OUT IN GEORGIA. NO TOOLS IN A TRUCK STOP, CALLED A GUY THE TRUCK STOP RECOMMENDED ON SUNDAY WE REPLACED THE FRONT BEARING [450 BUCKS FROM FORD] THE MAJOR PROBLEM WAS THE STUDS THAT HELD THE BEARING HOUSING ON WAS RUSTED IN PLACE, [YOU GUESSED IT, NO LUBRICATION]. REPLACED BEARING AND LUBBED STUDS, NUT LUGS AND PUT IT BACK TOGETHER.. WHILE I WAS THERE A GUY WITH A FORD LIKE MINE CAME BY TO SAY HE HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM... I WOULD HAVE PAID A LITTLE MORE MONEY WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK NEW IF FORD WOULD HAVE DONE THE SIMPLE THING EVERY MECHANIC DOES... PUT IT TOGETHER THE SAME WAY YOU WOULD IF YOU HAD TO TAKE IT APART!!!!
