On Oct. 18th my wife drove our daughter to school and parked the truck at 8:00 am and didn't drive it again that day. At approx. 11:00 pm, that night she heard a noise outside and looked out the window. She saw a billowing cloud of what she thought was steam but turned out to be smoke. Our truck was on fire. The truck burnt to the ground basically, there was nothing left of it. (see pics) It caught a huge 60 ft. oak outside the house on fire, and almost caught our house on fire. It continued to reignite after the fire dept got here and blew parts off of it 6 times. The fire chief said we were lucky the wife was still up and heard it. The first thing they did was check the house and spray it down as it was right next to the truck. They said if we hadn't seen it almost right away it would have caught the house on fire too. As it was the truck was a total loss and we lost our shirts on it too. Insurance paid $5000 less than fair market value for this truck.
