Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

  • 70,000 miles

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving 5 mph, the brakes completely failed and caused the vehicle to run a stop sign. The contact had to use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. The contact also stated that the front passenger side brakes had prematurely worn and caused an increase in stopping distance. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnostics. The test results showed worn brake lines. The dealer replaced the brake lines but the repair did not remedy the problem. The vehicle was again taken to the dealer. The failure mileage was 70,000. The VIN was not available.
