Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2004 Ford F450. The vehicle has Continental general tires, size 22590R19.5. while driving 55 mph, the contact heard a loud a pop and the vehicle pulled to the left. He noticed that the tread on the driver side front tire separated. The dealer inspected the tire, but they would not provide the cause of failure. The additional tire details are unavailable. The current and failure mileages were 43,000. Updated 02/01/08. The consumer's vehicle suffered damage from the tire failure.
