We have continued to have latch failures on this vehicle even after they were all supposedly replaced under a safety recall notice. Our first latch failure was in Oct 2015 on left rear door. At that time our receipt says that all four door latches were replaced. In June 2016 we had the passenger side rear door latch fail. Again it was replaced and covered by Ford.

In February 2017 the driver door latch failed and again was replaced and covered by Ford. We just had another latch failure August 2018 on the front passenger door and now Ford refuses to cover it. This is a safety issue that they have already demonstrated they are responsible for and now they believe they are not. Either all for latches were not replaced or they have continued to replace them with faulty latches. Either way, Ford is obligated to cover the cost of repair for this safety issue. I have asked for the service team to save the faulty latch for me.

Is there anyway to have it evaluated to see if it is the original latch or the replacement latch? What are my legal options? I have called Ford Recall twice already, and I'm getting no where.

For the third time have experience a broken door latch on this car. In Sept of 2015 there was a recall on Ford Fiesta and others for this very problem. When I took the car to Jim Click Ford to have the repairs done, I was told that recalls can only be preformed if the latch is broken. Recall #15S16. So then what is the point of a recall.

It seems very unsafe to me to be driving around with doors that just randomly refuse to shut. I took the car to the dealer today to be fixed. First of all, I have to leave it for 1 1/2 weeks to have this repair done, incredible. Second the lady argued with me that there was not a recall, even though I showed her paper of my last visit and the recall #. Third, they refuse to fix the remaining door until it actually breaks. I feel that this is very poor customer service, they don't care about the safety of the their product or their customers. I really regret buying a Ford and their customer service is not very user friendly.

Was out grocery shopping, put bags in car, went to shut the door, but it would not latch. Had the same problem 7 days prior with another door. Could not shut door, nor lock the car. Took the car to the dealer, had to leave it overnight, AGAIN. Had to replace the door latch for another $100 deductible on my extended warranty.

Got the car home and went to go out, but had a dead battery. The battery was not disconnected at the dealer while it sat overnight waiting to be repaired, so had the additional expense of a new battery. This is a hatchback, so I have 3 more doors to look forward to this happening with. Again the service rep. stated this is a very common problem with the Fiesta and the Focus.

I feel that these cars should be recalled for this problem rather than having a safety issue of not being able to shut/lock the door when out and about.

Came home from work, took stuff out of car, shut the door, but it would not latch. Could not keep the door closed, could not lock the car. Had to take to dealer (Thanksgiving eve)., leave it for 2 days and have the door latch replaced. It cost me $100.00 deductible on my extended warranty. Was told by the service rep. that this is a very common problem with the Fiesta and the Focus.
