After disconnecting the battery and still it will not start. Nothing. No crank and battery is only a couple months old. Replaced ignition switch but still the problem is not solved.

The instrument cluster lights stay on. It’s like the ignition is still in the run position. No check engine light. No security light either. This problem came out of the blue. Anyone have any ideas?

While driving all service lights came on. Car kept driving with not noticeable performance issues. I turned off the car in the driveway and tried to restart, nothing. All accessories are working, but starter wont engage. Tried several times, tried with different key, unhooked battery, tried in neutral, tried with doors locked, tried remote starter... No Start. Went back into the house trying to think what it could be, alarm went off and car started while key was on my counter.

Since then lights come on, sometimes it will start right away, sometimes hours later, sometimes right away.

Going to test grounds tonight.

Flex SEL 3.5L V6

Love the car, but this issue came up shortly after we bought it with 147K in December 2016. It went away and just came back on the way from Indy to NW Ohio (highway speeds). Car ran fine, but the dash lights all came on. The gauges all went to zero/cold except the fuel gauge worked. The miles went out all dashes. Drove 5 min or so and the light went like the computer reset or something. All this time the car drove fine. Pulled into get food on the way back, with lights off, shut off and restarted fine. drove and several more times the same all dash lights on for 5-10 min and then they all went off. Also, after 1-3 min of the dash lights coming on then the lower tire pressure light dinged and flashed. we got back to my in laws to pick up our 4 kids and turned the car off with no lights on. Went inside for 20 min and then got packed up to go home. Nothing. Nothing except all dash lights on and no turnover of the starter, just one click (throttle body sweep i think).

I didn't know what to do so I disconnected the battery for 5 min to hopefully get it to reset. Hooked the battery up and it started right up (took twice as long to turnover as normal, but it started.). Drove home with the dash lights on within a mile of leaving their house. pulled into the garage, turned it off with the dash lights on (first time doing that), and went inside to put the kids to bed. Came out 30 min later an tried to start. Nothing. read online to check ground, so removed the air box, took loose the grounds, cleaned the surfaces, applied dialetric grease and reassembled. Nothing.

I cannot get it to do anything. Battery voltage is 12.6v and every time I tried to turn the key on I get a flashing THEFT light. Please any help what to do??? I like to think of myself as handy, but this one has me so confused where to look. There are many threads on forums of people that have had this issue but never a fix. I can't drive this with my kids and worry about having to call a tow truck. I'm very fortunate that i made it home last night.

We waited for a few minutes to an hour, then it started. and it sometimes starts right up and sometimes it don't. its a pain in the ass and i wish i knew what it was cause we dont have a warranty and cant afford to put it in the shop grrrr!
