Door locks stopped working, alongside the dash board & temp control lights, took to ford they said door lock actuator, blew all door locks and took out dash lights, thought it sounded fishy to me as the gas gauge would go full empty full empty, decided to pass on the 600.00 repair, so got ambitious this weekend, looked for the fuse for the door lock, nowhere to be found, thank god came across this site and found out where it was hidden, drop the fuse panel fish in between wiring harness, used a mirror first to look and find it, replaced the fuse, all worked except drivers door, decided to take door panel off, to look at actuator,(another paid), decided to just unplug it and put it all back together, still have no dash board lights or thermostat lights, but have 3 doors back on power lock and trunk, and it has not blown yet.

I hate my car, it is a pain in the ass. I have to unlock my doors with the key, from the passenger side and craw throught my car to unlock the drivers door. In the mornings I have to lock all doors by hand because the automatic lock won't work. And it really SUCKS running in the ran trying to get in your car in a hurry and can't because the keyless entry won't work and I have to go through all these step. UGH!

I have to say this is the most crappy problem to have.

1) I have been told by ford it will cost me $95 an hour to "find" the problem.
2) No, they cant tell me how long it will take to find the "exposed or ungrounded" wire
3) My normal mechanic won't touch it because its a ford

Has anyone paid to fix this?! If so how long did they take?
This affects remote keyless entry (possibly the alarm too!) Power door locks, and power trunk pop on the dash and remote.

FORD needs to recall this death trap. Our rear driver's side door is unable to unlock, the fuse #63, which is harder to find than Waldo, keeps blowing and my key is permanently stuck in the ignition as soon as the temperature drops below freezing. This car is worthless. NEVER buy FORD, horrible.
