Ok,
So I'm driving down the highway, 65-70 mph and it starts raining. Then it rains harder and my car starts puttering and losing speed. I press on the gas, but it's like I'm not doing anything. I slow down to a top speed of 25 mph, mind you it's raining hard and I could get smashed by a semi. The car finally responds to my pressing the gas and it starts accelerating again. Of course it's still raining and it does it again. This was on a 200 mile trip that this happened over and over again and this happens EVERY time there's a heavy rain. I took it to a mechanic who tried it out in the rain, but of course it didn't do it for him. The check engine light also wouldn't go on. Then a couple of days later, no rain, the engine puttered all day and stalled about 6 times while idling. At this point I'm really fearing for my life and take it to the deal who fixed 2 things on it. There was some wire needing replacing and something else. The car is still unsafe to drive.

After it rains or going through a puddle of water, the car will stall and start to jerk as if to stop. Also, water seems to lock the steering column sometimes.

The day before I traveled for Christmas the car (which had been giving me trouble died. Somehow moisture had built up around the spark plugs and began to rust them. Could have fixed it on my own if I had time, but it died at night in front of a repair shop. The bill was a killer.
