Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety. Notes: The 2002 Ford Focus 2.0L SOHC engine has a defect where the intake valve seat fails. The valve then falls into the cylinder, destroying the engine & most owner relationships with Ford in the process.

The pads wore out and the rotors are designed so thin that any wear renders them useless.

This is just the first problem with this car: swaybars, strut springs, charging system, trunk latch, turn signals. Oh yeah, it has 47,000 miles total at date, and I have spent $1600.00 in the last 5 months repairing this throw away. None of the problems were covered under warranty and I do not see any recalls. I was hoping to drive it a couple more years, it is not likely
