This is complaint TWO on the same '07 Ford Focus. Had alternator replaced 12/11/07, alternator has warranty of 12 months or 12000 miles, I'm thinking YES we are still under warranty (barely). Well, husband was driving when battery light came on several days ago, and he thought, well, the alternator was JUST replaced 7 months ago, right? Maybe corrosion on cables, no big. Then after a doc appt (and no great news there, to make a bad sitch even WORSE), it started kind of "jumping", then all the elec went out, then when he tried to roll up the window it died. So, we had it towed to a Good Year, who then informed us it's the alt. Since it's the alt, then Ford should pay for it, so we have it towed to Ford. Now they are trying to tell us there is nothing wrong (maybe because if we bring it home and drive about 600 mi, WE will have to pay for the repair?). I will NEVER buy another Ford. I am SOOOO not happy about this. If and when we figure all this out, and if I can I'll post another comment or something letting anyone know how it worked out, but as it stands we're being screwed around by the Ford people. Hope they recall the piece of doodie.

When being used on a patrol for our security company, the vehicle stopped and when attempted to restart, it just clicked. The vehicle was jumped and taken to Ford for repair. The battery became bad as a result of a faulty alternator. The vehicle mind you only had 15,000 miles on it. This was 1 of 4 problems (was 3 previously) reported to this website on the 2007 Ford Focus.

I bought a brand new 2007 Ford Focus from our military car sales here in Europe and after less than 10 days and under 500 miles the car DIED!!! WILL NOT START JUST CLICKS. Garage here in Italy says they can fix it however I am not sure.
I wish Ford Motor Company would give me my money back so I could buy another American car such as a Dodge.
I am so sick of this. Anyone have any clues as to why the secure lock is in place (keeping the car from starting)?
Any clues would be nice and now since it's the holidays I have to wait until Jan 8th 2007 before it goes to the shop.
I am pissed I need a car that is dependable because I drive 70+ miles a day.

I personally found it FASCINATING (sarcasm, anyone?) that in DECEMBER of 2007 we had to have the alternator replaced in an '07 vehicle!!! RIDICULOUS! And I'm just posting this as we have it in the shop AGAIN, for the same problem, but SW Ford in W'ford, TX is telling us they can't find anything wrong. You can read more about it on my next complaint! DON'T buy a Ford Focus. If you do, GOOD LUCK.
