Failed inspection due to rust and corrosion on sub frame. Engine light on consistent with recent recall of Ford edge due to rust and corrosion. Car has only 72,703 miles and is in very good condition. Other Freestyle owners have noted similar dangerous corrosion on sub frame due to "substandard steel and alloys."

Loud whirring noise which gets louder with acceleration and is really loud going downhill when the engine is holding back. Also have two rust spots on the hood and the car is only 5 years old and has been kept clean and is waxed at least once per year.

Our car was quite new. My daughters and I were in the car at a stop light. Someone was in front of me at the time and they were making a right hand turn. When I was slightly rolling forward I applied pressure to the brake and my car jumped or lunged forward-causing an accident with 4 kids and 2 adults involved. This is the first of many incidents with my car proactively moving.
