Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

Fusion 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission

When activating the cruise control on a brand new 07 sel AWD 3.0 Fusion the gas pedal had a dead range of about half way and could not get acceleration. Took my foot off the pedal and the drivetrain " clunked " when I put my foot back on the pedal. The wrench symbol illuminated and I had to pull off the highway due to no acceleration. After I turned off the engine and checked the fuses, engine compartment for anything obvious I re-started the engine and the wrench light went off and everything was fine. Imagine being in traffic unable to move.
