Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

Please take a moment & say thank you by donating $5 or whatever you can to the Center for Auto Safety.

The contact owns a 2009 Ford Fusion. While driving at speeds of 70 mph, the accelerator pedal became stuck in the open throttle position. The vehicle continued to accelerate without driver intent and the contact used extreme force on the brakes to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was moved off the roadway and the engine was shut off. When restarting, the vehicle resumed normal operation. The dealer advised having the vehicle diagnosed at the contact's expense. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure and current mileages were 47,000.

Recurring low speed and braking unintended acceleration problems with surges from about 3200 to over 5000 rpms. This happens when braking and when stopped or right after starting up from a stop. May not be a safety problem but this is consistent with the Toyota problems.
