The engine began to rev excessively and the RPM's increased rapidly. In addition, the transmission exhibited a delay and a hard shift. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was able to resume normal operation. The vehicle has not been repaired at this time. The failure mileage was 1,000. The current mileage was 3,077. Updated 02/02/10 the consumer stated he has experienced a problem with delayed acceleration. The delay was always followed by a delayed rough shift. The transmission would always slam into gear after acceleration hesitation. Updated 02/05/10.
