CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Fusion doesn’t have the same track record of power steering failure as the previous 3 model years. Of course, those owners said their steering failed at 60k–100k miles. So this appears to be a classic "wait and see" scenario.

In the meantime, there’s plenty of interior accessory problems to complain about. By themselves, each is a barely a blip on the radar. But combined, they give you that feeling of what the hell have I gotten myself into?

Takata recall- I saw Ford Fusion on the recall list and I got a letter saying that I would be receiving $500 for my trouble with the recall. On the takata list for recipients of $500 I saw that my car should be recalled and I haven't received the letter from Ford yet. It's also not in your recall list. Also there is a seatbelt recall 11/30/16 and that is very dangerous to not to have a solution yet. Please help. It?S recall # 16V875000 my VIN is [xxx]. thank you. I've been so scared to drive this car. I thought I wouldn't be on the list and 2 years later find out I am. Ford didn't even tell me. It's not even on your list. I found out from the lawsuit that I am a claimant also. I have 2 dangerous recalls. They should give me a new car. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

"takata recall" but not sure. Started my car drove through a parking lot at low speed. When pulling onto the highway my front air bag light went on. Pulled off the road turned off my car. Looked at owners manual. Started car, moved my drivers seat back and drove home leaning my body to the right passenger side. Light stayed on all the way. I called my regular mechanic about this problem and he informed me that they could not touch the car due to the recall and to call the dealer. Called Ford when I got to my home. They informed me that there systems were down and not to drive car. It was extremely unnerving to get home.

My 74yr old mom hit a 1 foot tall concrete barrier (picture attached) at a county rural recycling center resulting in all 4 airbags to deploy. Barrier isn't painted, no fence, no railing or pole to mark it. Minor damage (photo attached) to the auto, Bosch recorder shows <15 mph (file too large to attach). Car is in a storage unit in Iowa for evidence. Mom's prognosis was subdural hematoma, encephalopathy and uncal herniation resulting in her death (see attached). Medical examiner determined cause of death was the car accident. In addition to the issue with the airbags, my step-dad (84 years old) was in the passenger side and also was hit by airbags. While the airbags saved him, he was quite bruised/injured. Emergency response was not requested. We (my family) believe that considering the age of our parents and the fact my mom was hit in the side of the face - more caution (state law requiring medical attention) should be exerted by all police officers in this situation (police report attached). We take all kinds of precautions with kids on the sports fields, why not the elderly? my mom was obviously suffering from confusion and concussion. Tragically, we lost her to a safety feature. Uncomprehensible.

The contact owned a 2013 Ford Fusion. While driving approximately 40 mph, another vehicle driving in the opposite direction failed to yield and crashed into the front driver's side of the contact's vehicle. The contact's driver's side air bag did not deploy, but the front passenger side air bag deployed. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The contact sustained injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed. The dealer was not called and the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact's vehicle was towed by the insurance company and deemed a total loss. The failure mileage was 101,711.

Takata recall - if they can still manufacture vehicles and install airbags, they should be able to put their energies into fixing an outstanding recall five years old.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the service engine indicator illuminated several times. The contact stated that the vehicle kept overheating and was slow to accelerate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the computer needed to be replaced and recommended that the vehicle be towed to the dealer. The dealer (country Ford, 95 goodman rd E, southaven, ms 38671, (662) 349-4300) made no mention of NHTSA campaign number: 17V209000 (engine and engine cooling). The contact was not informed that the recall needed to be completed. The dealer replaced the computer and did not mention anything about NHTSA campaign numbers: 14V597000 (air bags and seat belts), 15V246000 (latches/locks/linkages), and 16V875000 (seat belts). In addition, the dealer made no mention of the manufacturer service campaign (15R01) for the eps motor bolts - regional and (14N02) for the extended warranty coverage for PCM re-programming. Within three weeks of the dealer's repair, the contact turned on the heat and noticed a strong odor coming from the vents. The vehicle started smoking under the hood and caught on fire. The fire department extinguished the flames and the vehicle was towed to the contact's residence by the insurance company who was to investigate the cause of the fire. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

Just received notification in mail about takata recall. Ford dealer never notified us and I want these fixed immediately.

Took Fusion in for recall 16S42 concerning seatbelt pretentioners on 08aug17. No airbag warning light was illuminated on the dash, when we went to pickup the car the light was on. The dealership had not seen the light and refused to check out the problem before my wife left the dealership. I believe that durango motor company, durango Colorado should have taken responsibility of checking the system.

Isuzu trooper told me that airbags do not deploy in rollover accidents because studies showed there isn't a higher survival rate when they do deploy in rollovers. That may be true, but I as a physician do declare that a survivor of a rollover may have better survival when airbags deploy. This is especially true with survival after severe brain injuries. I am permanently disabled now. I find it unconsciouble that airbags don't deploy in rollovers. I mean why not? the date of my accident wouldn't enter properly but was 02/22/1995.
