Wipers are the worst. Can't see in downpour or even a steady rain. I hate them!

The fastest wiper speed on this car is what I would consider medium.....NOT high! If it's raining really hard I can hardly see at all. And even in a light rain they don't go even close to fast enough. I used to own a 2001 Grand Prix before this Ford Fusion and the wiper speed on high was just fine. I'm about to lose my mind when ever it rains now just thinking about how I can't hardly see the road!

Recently I was caught in a down pour and would have pulled off the highway but there was no shoulder. I'm sure I had a death grip on the steering wheel because my heart was frantically beating while my eyes were waiting for the next swipe of the wiper!!! If I had any idea about this flaw, I would have NEVER bought this car. I live in St. Louis and we can get some crazy thunderstorms here. I need this wiper speed issue fixed or I'm seriously considering trading this car in. It's a horrible problem to have.

So far the dealership has been of no help when I told them about this problem. They told me to turn the intermittent wiper speed up......but that does nothing on the high speed. That only affects the speed on low/intermittent. I told them that and they said that's as fast as they go then and nothing could be done about it.

I think the car should be recalled for this problem. If this isn't a safety issue, then I don't know what is.

During moderate rainfall the wipers are too slow and you cannot see at all.

TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TWICE WITH THE COMPLAINT. I ONLY HAVE 3 SPEEDS. SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THAT'S ALL THAT CAR COMES WITH. I HAVEN'T OWNED A CAR SINCE 1968 THAT ONLY HAD 3 SPEEDS. - SLOWEST, SLOWER, SLOW. NOT ENOUGH SPEED TO CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD IN A MODERATE RAIN. THE LITTLE GIRL SERVICE ADVISER ASKED ME, DID I KNOW I COULD ADJUST THE SPEED ON THE LEVER WITH THE ROLLER FUNCTION ON THE LEVER, TOLD HER TO TRY IT....IT WASN'T GOING TO CHANGE THE SPEED.

Driving in the rain is a nightmare. Moderate rain is difficult, a heavy rain is near blinding. The wipers at the highest speed are a medium speed. I cannot imagine driving in heavy snow this winter. I can't believe there aren't more complaints about this. It's dangerous enough that I'm considering trying to get out of my lease. Will contact dealer tomorrow.
