Many Ford Fusion have a recall on the steering rack. 2010 does not. Mine is in shop for repair. Also, the transfer case went out. Costly repairs. I am not able to drive due to the steering. Already fixed the transfer case and sway bar.

The drivers side front coil spring snapped. Fortunately this happened while the car was parked. There is a safety recall for this defect but my vehicle is not covered under that recall. Ford needs to step up and expand the recall.

2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. Consumer writes in regards to part of the inside door handle snapped off. The consumer stated he had to exit the vehicle, without the use of the indoor handle. The door handle was made of cheap, weak, poorly designed material. Also, at 39,155 miles, one of the front wheel bearings had to replaced.

Left front axel broke for no reason at all. Did not hit anything. Always kept the car maintained since I bought it new in 2010 and had no major problems until yesterday. Axel broke as I drove slowly on a residential street. Ford repair is baffled why it broke. Could have killed us and somebody else if I had car loaded up with people and on a freeway at 70 mph. The steering lost control after axel broke.
