2008 GT Mustang. Within months of warranty ending, randomly noticed my passage side floor and mats wet at times. Could not find reason, weeks lead to months of us trying different things to determine what is cause. Seems water is collecting somewhere and leaking into passenger floor while driving or who knows when. Local dealership not heard this complaint and would charge me to look at it.

Anyway found information online that problem has happened with similar years and models of the Mustangs, some much sooner then mine. They suggest replacing clips and reseal cowl, which I will be doing ASAP at my expense. Big problem and still concerned with rust, mold or possible electric issues in future. Love my car and want to hang onto for long time keep it nice, add to, upgrade, and improve performance over the years. You know the nice car that the kids want in time. Always been " A Stang Girl" BUT a continued problem like this can just make me want to find that car and dealer who I can depend on.

While driving home from work I heard a steady trickle of water that seemed to be coming from the front passenger side. When I got home I looked to see where the water was coming from, there was 1/4 of an inch of water on the front passenger side floor which soaked the carpet. The water was coming from behind the glove box and running down. I took it to the dealership and was told the problem was due to front cowl needing to be resealed as per the TSB. This is what Ford sends to the service departments so the mechanics know what to look for when this kind of complaint comes in. So in my opinion Ford knows there is a problem otherwise there would be no need for this bulletin.

My car is only 3yrs. old with only 11,173 miles on it. As far as I'm concerned this problem should not have happened. I called Ford's public relations, WHAT A JOKE!!! I explained the problem he told me someone would get back to me within 3 to 4 days to see if Ford would assist me in paying for it or pay for it in full. Needless to say I had to call Ford and was told there was nothing they would do to help with this problem that I feel Ford knows exists. The cowl panel was removed, replaced all clips and resealed. Reinstalled cowl. Replaced window to moldings.

Here is Ford's public relations number 1-800-392-FORD. Maybe if enough angry Ford owners call then maybe Ford will build quality into their cars and stand behind their product! I have only owned Mustangs and I think this is my last one.

I own a 2008 Ford Mustang GT with 61,000 on it. I have been pleased with my purchase; however, While driving to work on 9/30/2010 water started pouring into passenger compartment from behind the dash. I took my vehicle to the body shop that repaired my vehicle after an accident in 5/2008 thinking the water was coming from a bad windshield seal which they had replaced. The body shop advised me that the water was actually coming from a cowl under the windshield, and that the issue is explained in Ford's TSB 08-26-7. I called my local Ford Dealer how advised me that they would fix it, but the vehicle is out of warranty and I would incur the cost to repair. I then contacted Ford and they advised me the same.

This is totally unacceptable to me this is an issue that Ford is obviously aware of. This repair should be covered. Now I have a never model vehicle that is prone to an unhealthy enviorment due to mold, and mildew. Ther are a few videos also on youtube.com of the same problem.

It rained again! This vehicle should have came standard with a really BIG umbrella!

Friday, 26 Sept 08.....I go to my car in the morning to go to work & my daughter cannot put her feet on the passenger floor because once again it filled with water after raining overnight.

It is now Monday night and Ford still has my vehicle so I have no answers still. I think that I may get that new carpet now, however, I am concerned with electrical issues this could cause in the future.

I still have not even had this vehicle two months.

Update from Dec 10, 2010: Dealership bought vehicle back and upgraded my GT to a GT/CS model. I am sure that they passed the problem onto someone else. Ford wouldn't do anything for me and the dealership must of wanted me to shut up.

It started raining on Friday, Sept 5 2008. I came home from work and parked my car in the driveway & did not get back into my vehicle until Sunday evening and found approx. 3 inches of water all on the passenger side of the vehicle. I had to get a cup and keep scooping it out. Took the vehicle to the dealership on Monday, 8 Sept 2008 and they said the the windshield down near the wiper blades was not sealed properly. I called Ford Customer Relations requesting that they replace my carpeting and they denied my request. I haven't even owned this car two months. I am more than unhappy to say the least.
