I have not had an incident. I am filing this complaint, as this vehicle was subject to a recall, #15V319, on 5-27-15 and the repair is still not available. As of 1-4-17, parts to fix the recall issue have not been provided to local dealers. It seems to me that Ford should have provided the parts necessary to effect this repair by this time, as over 1 1/2 years have elapsed since the recall notice was issued. It is unsettling to know that this defect exists as we must still use the car on a daily basis.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V319000 (air bags); however, the part for the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving approximately 30 mph, the traction control indicator illuminated and the vehicle violently jerked from left to right. The contact pulled the vehicle over and turned off the vehicle. The contact restarted the vehicle and noticed that the traction control indicator was no longer illuminated. When the vehicle was off, the traction control system reactivated on its own. The contact proceeded to drive and the traction control indicator illuminated again. When the contact began to accelerate the vehicle, the front passenger side wheel locked and the vehicle began to accelerate at high speeds on its own. As a result, the vehicle turned aggressively to the right, became airborne, flipped over, and landed on all four wheels. The wheel remained locked and the vehicle was unable to be moved. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The contact received injuries to the right shoulder. Medical attention was not needed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

Hello, I hope this message finds you well, I would like to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with my 2014 Ford Mustang. Unfortunately as you are aware the takata driver side air bag inflator recall has immensely hindered my opportunity of selling the vehicle. Ford has not been helpful, due to the recall the value of the vehicle has strongly decreased. They have not relayed substantial information which will essentially fix the recall. "a notice will be sent to you in the mail", I have not received any information in the mail. I've called numerous times and it appears quite frankly Ford does not care about this issue. Ford Motor Co has demonstrated a disregard on when the parts will be sent to fix the recall, and or helping me get rid of the vehicle. I have a payoff amount of $18,168, unfortunately for me I've been dealing with this recall for nearly two years. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with Ford Motor Co. Thank you and happy holidays. Best regards, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Takata recall - Ford changed the status of my driver side airbag inflator recall from "remedy not available" to "recall incomplete", implying that parts are now available and it is now my responsibility to have it replaced. But no dealership in my area has any such parts, and cannot even estimate when they may be able to order parts to comply with this recall. I have checked with two Ford dealers in my area (portland Oregon) and they cannot help me resolve this. Ford is wrongfully changing the status of this recall for unknown reason(s).
