I changed fuel filter, thought the problem was fixed car ran fine for 1 week. All of a sudden, it would go 7 miles, stall and not start up again. Of course this alway happened as soon as i laid down to go to sleep after working 16 hrs and my g/f (her car) was on the way to work. I would have 2 take her 2 work, pick her up and take her back 2 her car. By then it started up and ran fine all the way home. Changed spark plugs and wires, Same scenario, worked great for a week, then it petered out again. This is so frustrating. I don't want to go thru the hassle of changing the fuel pump esp if that is not the problem, next step dist. cap and rotor.
