I noticed a bad gas smell for the longest time and decided to finally check it out found out that the cracked gas hose cost about 250.00 dollars and could only be purchased from a ford dealer checked to see if I could find one at a savage yard and before I could finish telling the guy about my vehicle all I had to do was mention the cracked gas hose and he said for a 95 or 96 ford ranger I cant help you their and that every one that they have tried to salvage was dry rotted and they have people coming in a lot asking for the hose its only the outer hose which is only used for air flow the inner hose where all the gas goes in is fine it must be a poor quality hose but why in the hell is it so expensive I don't wont to spend almost 300 dollars and it happen again 3 years later if there is a recall I sure would like to know. all 94-97 rangers have same problem
