It all started about 2 weeks after I bought the truck (used-1 year old). Not sure if it had anything to do with it, but it was raining outside. After I closed the doors, the "Door Ajar" light and the inside car dome light stayed on. I finally removed the light bulb because I couldn't see anything at night. I took the truck to the shop and they claimed they fixed it, but it happened again. To this day, it still occurs. It just happens sporadically. Well, after about 5 years, that's the least of my concerns...haha.

6 months after i purchased new truck dome light started acting up. got so fed up with service techs at ford dealership telling me they couldn't find anything wrong with light or they didn't have an electrician on duty that day or insulting i didn't know what i was talking about since i am a WOMAN. i pulled the fuse out so light wouldn't stay on all the time. also "door ajar" will come on/off at least 8-10 times while on way to/fro m work. engine light comes on/off now. a puff of smoke will come out occasionally from around hazard button on steering wheel. if i hold down directional left signal and turn wheel to left it makes a buzzzzzzing noise til i let it go.

Yea I can definatly relate about that stupid dome light that stays on. It sucked when I had to go to work in the morning when it was dark out and the dome light would be on and would have a heck of a time seeing. Simple fix though. All you need is wd-40 and a old rag.
