This problem occurred while the truck was under warranty and was fixed only once by Ford. I bought this vehicle new and it was apparently a known Ford defect. When I hit road bumps, the door ajar light goes on, the buzzer goes off and the interior light goes on. This problem is really annoying while driving as it goes on and goes off constantly. I have to swerve the pickup to the right to turn off the interior light. Sometimes going on a right curve will also turn it off. Other times, if the the light is still on when I stop the truck and shut it off, slamming the door will also shut off the interior light. I have had this problem now on a daily basis for over a month and need to take it into Ford to fix. Obviously, they are going to make me pay for it even though this is a known truck defect. A local mechanic told me that this problem was a known truck problem in their profession.

The pick-up is the 4-door type with no separation between the doors. It seems to be the driver's side front door that is causing the problem. It started out only occasionally and re closing the door would make it go away, But is getting more and more frequent. Now the interior lights come on occasionally also.
