I have a 2001 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 motor auto transmission. I was driving to work 2 weeks after I had the transmission fluid replaced. The overdrive light started to flash. Unsure in what that meant, I made a few phone calls, and the next day took the truck to get checked out. Well needless to say I did not like what they said so I went to 2 different places, it's the same issue. My 3rd gear ratio is f**ked up. I was like how could this be at only 69 thousand miles. I read and researched and see everyone else having trouble with their transmissions different makes and models. I filed a complaint with the National Hwy safety comm. I contacted Ford's CRC and they were useless as tits on a bull, the gal I spoke to made me feel not human, that I was not as smart as her when it came to dealing with transmission issues.
I fired off a letter to Fords, CRC the board of directors, the BBB, my attorney generals office, 2 media stations. I received a phone call from Fords CRC stating they received my letter, however they would not offer any money to help fix the transmission. They had a piss ant call me, and I did not want to deal with her. So I have fired off another letter to Ford. I'm not going away, Ford has to know there is an issue with the transmission they are using.
After reading research this issue I have filed a class action law suit against Ford for this transmission issue. I do believe then it will get their attention. If you like to partake in this please just add your comments, and it will come in my EMAIL. I want FORD to admit there is an issue with this tranny, and second do a FREE fix!
