I have a loose gear selector and when I try to put it in park I don't think it catches. This makes it so that many times when I try to start my car nothing happens. I'm not sure how to fix the problem or if I have to take it in.
We have partnered with JustAnswer to offer online auto repair help and advice from expert professional automotive technicians. You describe your accessories - interior problem or ask your question and they try to help you figure it out. The fee is typically $9 to $15, but you can offer to pay more for really tough questions. You will usually receive an answer in 10 minutes or less, and you do not have to pay anything unless you accept the answer.

Well if you turn the key and nothing happens (And I mean nothing, not even a click) pull up on the Gear Selector Lever and while pulling it should start.
