2000 Taurus SE gas gage stopped working in 2003. [xxx]. I have never had this to happen in any other vehicle. It seemed so unusual that I hoped it was under a recall. There has not been any accident with this vehicle. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Fuel gauge is erratic. Says the tank is empty at times, when in fact it is full. Is there a recall or service bulletin related to this problem?

Problems with brake lamp switch went out on 2000 Ford Taurus. The brake light had gone out which was a recall item. The brake lamp switch had gone out again and the consumer discovered the vehicle would not go out of park into drive but was finally able to get it into neutral and then into drive (G2). The consumer was unaware the brake light was out, which was the third brake light switch in less than three years. The consumer requested a refund. There was noise which had come from the blower motor, and the fuel gauge acted erratic and the fuel pump was replaced.
