Very frustrating. I got it repaired I suppose at a reasonable price by a family member who is a gifted auto mechanic. Since car was only 2 years old, I just wanted to move forward without any more problems.

BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A HERTZ RENT A CAR DEALER. HAD ALL PROPER MAINTENANCE. 25,000 MILES HAD EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT DEDUCTIBLE WAS 1000 .....THIS CAR IS A LEMON. FIRST MY AIR CONDITIONING GOES OUT 35000 MILES .....HAD TO PAY FOR THAT ONE BECAUSE OF THE DEDUCTIBLE...LEAST I FOUND OUT THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY TILL 72,000 MILES BECAUSE GUESS WHAT, WITH THIS CAR YOUR GOING TO NEED IT..AT 50000 MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND IT WON'T GO OFF.......AT 55000 MILES MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT - 3000 WARRANTY COVERED A REBUILT ONE THAT'S COVERED FOR 10000 MILES BY FORD....THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERS THE TRANSMISSION FOR ABT 20000 MILES......AT 65,000 MILES MY MASTER CYLINDER GOES OUT....WARRANTY COVERED IT AND MY TRANSMISSION MAKES THE WEIRDEST NOISES WHICH THEY MESSED AROUND WITH A LITTLE MORE AND IT SOUNDS BETTER BUT NOT LIKE IT WAS WHEN I FIRST GOT IT....THE INTERIOR PLASTIC PIECES BY THE FRONT WINDSHIELD KEEP FALLING DOWN. I USED SOME INSULATION FOAM TO GET IT TO STICK....USES A LOT MORE GAS THEN IT SHOULD 14 MPG. 67,000 MY BRAKES ARE GRINDING STILL AND MY BRAKE BOOSTER IS BAD....JUST HAD ALL THE BRAKES SERVICED AT 60,000 SO IT'S NOT TO MY FAULT, KEEP UP ON ALL THE MAINTENANCE......IT'S A LEMON AND THE PAINT IS OXIDIZED ON THE BUMPER....LIVE IN AZ BUT IT'S A LITTLE EARLY FOR THE PAINT TO GO BAD I HAD A NISSAN TRUCK THAT DIDN'T NEED A SINGLE REPAIR TILL I HAD 170000 PLUS MILES ON IT AND THEY WERE CHEAPER AND EASIER TO REPAIR....ONCE REPAIRED THAT WAS THE END OF IT THIS IS ONGOING ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER WITH THIS CAR NEVER BUY A FORD AGAIN

I knew better than to purchase a Ford, but I did. Under warranty at 30K miles, I had a leak on the passenger side that leaked onto the floor board, plus drivers side seat belt would latch 50% of the time. Now at 41K miles my heating/cooling fan only works on high speed. I have not had this serviced yet, but I cannot wait to see what this will cost. I've had the car one year and I rotate and balance the tires every 5K miles and it rides like a log truck. Seriously, I bought this car hoping I would not have any problems until at least 75K miles (expect standard maintenance). I have to say, this will be my first and last Ford product.
