Huge win for car owners! All TSBs to be made public. The Center for Auto Safety just made the NHTSA (US Government) make public the full text of all TSBs from now on. They are the same organization that has petitioned the NHTSA & filed lawsuits to protect car owners over exploding gas tanks & other major safety issues. Whenever you drive in your car, you are safer thanks in part to a lot of work over the years by this small but very effective consumer advocacy group.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford Taurus. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 mph, a loud noise emitted and the vehicle began to veer to the left. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who informed that the front driver's side strut fractured. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact owns a 2006 Ford Taurus. The contact was driving 25 mph in an extended driveway when the front driver side coil spring fractured and shredded the inner side of the front driver side tire. The dealer was notified of the failure who advised the contact that there were no recalls for the failure and offered no assistance. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that there were no recalls for the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.
