So TODAY as I'm driving to work and its 12 degrees outside I hear POP>>>CRACK CRACK... REALLY?? I couldn't see anything because it was dark. That is until I came out to head home and low and behold there is a crack coming from under the seal, all the way across the windshield and back under the seal. At this point I call the dealer AGAIN and I said look this is a problem. This is the 4th windshield and I'm not paying for it. To which he asked if they could keep the car for a couple days and send it over to the body shop and see why it's happening. ( they think there's a flaw in the way the windshield hole was cut or something to that matter) I am beyond frustrated by this. I love my car but it's pretty scary driving down the road and hearing a POP that sounds like the whole windshield is gonna shatter in your lap. I'll let ya know the outcome when I get it back... UGHHHHHHHHH

So moving forward to around October and I'm driving along and POP.... I'm like REALLY???? Call dealership again. You could clearly see that the crack started under the seal but this time I apparently had a small chip in the windshield as well and they wouldn't cover it under warranty. Ok this was getting annoying.... see story #3 for the next chapter...

SOOOOO, fast forward to Feb 2016. Driving along and POP POP, ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME????? Call the dealership again. REALLY??? Discover crack is coming from under the seal again. At this point they don't know what is going on. ( mind you on the second windshield the REP with safelite said that he thinks the car frame is twisted where the windshield metal is welded together..) At this point I'm thinking there's something wrong with the car... Continue to #4 for the next chapter...

I have a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL. The first time this happened I had the car about 4 weeks and I was driving down the road and heard a HUGE POP. Next thing I know there are cracks coming from the bottom of the windshield under the seal. I called the dealership as I was not around a single car and nothing hit my windshield. They said bring it in. I hang up and POP and it cracks again. I was concerned I wasn't going to MAKE IT to the dealer. They said it was a spontaneous crack and probably a defect in the windshield. Replaced under warranty. See complaint # 2 for the rest of story...

This will be the 3rd windshield that will have to be put in this car in less than 2 years of owning it.The first one I had replaced at 1200 miles, drove the car the night before got up next morning and crack started in the center of windshield.Took to dealer they found no point of impact so they replaced it.Then 10 months later new windshield cracked at bottom dead center just like the first one.Dealer took pictures but wouldn't replace. So I had it replaced,3 weeks later crack in center again.I won't be replacing it this time.Going to take my loss and trade it in on a Nissan.I will never buy a Ford product again. Can't afford new windshields on a regular basis. Also at 70 mph there is a whining noise coming from dash. It has been in the shop several times for this also .

Broken windshield on my new Tuarus. Took it to dealership and they took pictures and were supposed to call me back. Of course as many Ford owners already know the dealership does not call back. I don't understand why but they just don't. Will not purchase another Ford again.
