Contact states that it was a dry an clear day. His wife was driving up a hill one of the rods tore away from the sub frame of the vehicle. After this separation it caused the vehicle to come to a screeching halt. The contact gained this information after have the vehicle towed to a repair shop. The contact has already contacted Ford about the problems with Windstar van, but they are saying that it is outside of his warranty.
