When the van is started the brake light is on indicating that the "emergency brake" is on when it is not. At this point, the brakes will make an awful screeching sound. You can active the emergency brake and then release and sometimes it takes care of the problem, other times it does not. However, once you start driving about 500 feet, the light will go off.
