This problem has been off & on for two years. ABS light and brake light are off & on, but 3 dealerships including Ford says the brakes are just fine after being replaced. I have spent $2000 on brakes trying to have these problems fixed. Cruise control works off & on, I have taken it to 4 mechanics including Ford dealership and they cannot find the problems with the ABS, they say it is an ABS module and want to spend more hours to find the problem. Brakes have been replaced twice is two years.

2002 Ford Windstar - brake lights staying on. Getting overheated & caused new battery to corrode and car to die. We had to jump start the vehicle. Read about faulty cruise switch causing this problem. We checked the cruise light and it no longer functions. Car was manufactured in 2001. It is the vehicle our newly permitted 15 year old son is driving. Why has this not been recalled? it is scary to think the breaks could go out on our son or that a fire could start.
