Driving up on the hill the car jerked and shakes. Passenger feels it. It's displaying service brake system just under a year after it was done. It's now displaying, stabilitrak and control traction. After stopping for a red light upon the departure the car shakes and jerks. When it rains real hard, I have a leak on the passenger door. I feel like the car falls apart light after light. Some people says its transmission.

Had the vehicle for 4wks and have been back to dealer 4times. 2times for check engine light (2nd time reported water leakage in front floor driver & passenger sides after it had rained), 2times for stabilitrak off and service brake system warning (3 different incidents one within 1 wk of purchase), interior lights for entry and rear console controls are inoperable.

Transmission slipping jerks and bumps when shifting. Passengers noted there was issues also. Loses power going up hills. Took it to cochran Pontiac for two years and did not correct situation, since there were no codes on the computer even though the car had no power and was jerking. Engine light, antilock braking, no rear sensors, and the fuel gauge lights are now on after another dealer fixed transmission and I had to pay $1,500 and I should have not paid anything. I did not have these lights on my dash board when I went to get the transmission fixed and the dealer has not fixed them. Recently, my car lost power and died on a blind dangerous curve and shut down the engine. I was afraid to get hit and felt my car was unsafe. We put gas in and would not start and engine was hot. I had to have it towed to dealer after two weeks from getting the transmission repaired and told dealer transmission has noises in it and engine was hot and car would not start. They called and said it was out of gas and runs now, however, they did not address the issues noted above for all of the lights that were on the dash board. The gas was not the issue before car was towed since we put gas in there when it broke down. This 2007 Acadia has had issues since 2011 that continue to present and this SUV is known to have many recalls and is unsafe. The car was taken to the dealer numerous times with complaints by the customer.

Driving along at approx. 25mph and transmission suddenly lost power. The car was turned off and on randomly to apply power to the transmission for a couple of minutes to drive it back home. Thank god I had just left home! never, ever received a notice from GMC nor the dealer regarding power train problems. The car has been sitting since then (now going on approx 8 mos. Because I have not been able to afford approx. $3,500 for a new transmission. The saddest part... I don't even have a notification as to where to take it to get repaired.

This car is dangerous. Driving 65mph on freeway when every service and warning light went on. Replaced entire instrument cluster and replace ipc, could have killed us and others. Also engine was removed to repair engine front cover leak at 39,000, now at 85,000 same leak repair is required at cost of $2926. That means every 40,000 miles you need to spend $3000 and have engine removed. Power steering always made whining noise which I was told is normal. At 85,000 was told steering rack and pinion gears need replacement and I am sure the pump needs replacement as well $2000. When driving on the freeway could not stop on exit without brake pedal being pushed all the way to floor, stabiltrak light on could have killed us or someone. Had to replace brake master cylinder. Water pump was leaking after engine was put back in from 1st repair of front cover engine seal. Timing chain has stretch you can hear it, but they only added thrust washers. Rear liftgate - while loading groceries lift gate free fell closed on daughters head. Was told rear lift gate shocks failed. Could have killed someone. This car is a death trap. Don't buy it.

While driving on the interstate, I had to brake quickly because of accident ahead. At this time, the stabilitrak service message and brake message started alternately flashing on dic. Brake and stabilitrak warning lights also came on. The car decelerated like when you shift down on a manual transmission when I tried to accelerate again, no response. Tried turning stabilitrak button back on and off, but this did nothing. After a few seconds the car started to accelerate, the engine light came on. I was in heavy traffic and was difficult to get over to shoulder. I had about 10 miles to get to my house, so watched the engine temp gauge, and made it home. Engine light remained lit. The engine gauge indicated the cars temperature rose about 15 degrees above what it usually is.started the car the next day without any warnings or messages displayed and took the car to my mechanic, he ran the codes on cars computer. It showed no errors, was a little low on water. He said to drive it and let him know if it happened again. The vehicle had been in operation for another 45 days, with no more signs of problems. 46th day, the vehicle's service message for stabilitrak and brake flashed again, with warning lights for these coming on as well, after car was driven approx. 4 miles and parked for about an hour. The vehicle operated fine. I parked the car again for about one hour, warning lights came on after about a mile the next day the same episode. Now I'm into the 2nd week of the brake and stabilitrak warning lights coming on and off. Will call the dealer because at this point I'm afraid of another gear down like the first incident and being in heavy traffic-that's not safe however, I've been to the dealer before about the passenger airbag sensor saying it's off when there is a passenger sitting there. Checking cars computer said "codes? showed nothing wrong? are the "codes" infallible"

03/01/2008 - 16,000 I wasn't able to steer, power steering is completely out on the middle of the road 12/01/2008 - 32,000 - misfire in the 2 engine cylinders and was making lot of noise, dealer took 5 weeks to fix the problem 06/01/2009 - 41,000 issue with the engine making noise at start, had to make multiple trips to the dealer 06/01/2011 - 66,000 water pump leaking 03/01/2012 - 72,000 brake control failure 06/29/2012 - 76,000 broken wave plates, evaporater solenoid, and transmission failure most of these issues are very common in this model, GMC need to recall and fix once for all rather than waiting on the issue to happen on each vehicle.
