8/28/18 - vehicle unexpectedly had jerking/shaking at around 40mph with various service messages - stabilitrak, traction on, traction off, and all wheel drive. Traction skid light illuminated. Once above 40 mph, no more jerking. Speedometer was flying up and down intermittently as well. Once parked and shut off for an hour, I started vehicle and no issues. Drove it to repair shop and they were unable to replicate the issue. It definitely felt like the vehicle wanted to stall. Now I'm nervous to drive it because I'm sure it will happen again unexpectedly. This occurred on local streets with 45 mph speed limits.

Car only has 52,000 miles on it and the ABS, brake and traction lights have repeatedly come on. The issues has caused the lost of cruise control and high rise of my ABS system not working due to a wheel speed sensor failing. The car shouldn't have this issue when this little of mileage on it. The car started this all of sudden as I was driving one day when I was driving it on the street and once the car is in gear on any street surface. The risk of losing my ABS has caused my not to want to drive it. I am not the only person with this issue. Many have reported on different forums of this issue at a low mileage. No car should have this sensor issue "if that is what it truly is" at this yearly of its live span and low of mileage.

Throttle body replacement: Check engine light comes on while driving the vehicle, then a message displaying "engine power reduced, service stabilitrak." Then vehicle immediately slows down and cannot travel above 30 miles per hour. Took it in to the local GMC dealer service department, who pulled the code indicating it was a throttle body issue. Charged us $120 to clean the throttle body, only to have the problem resurface hours later. Now waiting for replacement throttle body part to arrive, which they insist will solve the problem for roughly $350 parts and labor. Shop also informed us problem can be temporarily circumvented by turning off the vehicle, then turn it back on. Often the engine will no longer be in reduced power mode for anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, then will throw the message and repeat the issue.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. While driving approximately 55 mph and attempting to accelerate, the vehicle's speed decreased after the service stabilitrak and service traction control warning indicators illuminated. The contact continued to drive the vehicle with the speed decreasing while driving up hills. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. But was not diagnosed or repaired; however, the mechanic stated that it appeared that the throttle body was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred on one other occasion. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 14,000. Updated 09/01/2015 updated 10/14/2015

The Acadia's fuel gauge just stops working and then starts again. The vehicle has a jerky motion when slowing down around any curves...like the engine has to catch up.

While I was driving my car in traffic, the green car indicator light came on and slowed down my speed to a complete stop. I pulled over and allowed cars to go around me as I tried to restart the vehicle, 3 times, and it would not start. I called onstar to see if they could do a car check and told me nothing was wrong. After an hour of being stuck on the side of the road with a car that would not start, onstar got me a tow truck and towed me to the dealer ship. The dealer ship at first could not figure out what was wrong with the car and tried to see if it was the indicator light, after 3 days the called me and informed me that the battery had a bad cell which had caused the cars system to shut down immediately while I was driving. They gave me a new battery and that cleared up that problem. I am very concerned with this happening to someone on a highway, imagine if someone could not control there car and speed while doing 70 mph in the fast lane, this could easily cause a car crash!!! I was fortunate to be in a neighborhood only going 25 mph but it still could have caused a accident since there was cars behind me. It was a scary situation as I realized I had no control of my car, please make people aware of this because I have heard of GM have more bad batteries!
