Both the rear heat and A/C piping corroded and rotted due to the use of cheap aluminum pipes that would not stand up to eastern Canadian winters where they use calcium chloride solutions and salt to melt ice and snow on the roads. Likely not a problem in the U.S. but they had the parts in stock and knew how to charge for them. We elected to block off both the rear heat and A/C when they failed. I found it odd that the dealerships could not offer a braided high pressure hose as a substitute as it would have cost a lot less.
