The contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH and also at other speeds, the low beam headlights became inoperable. The contact was able to activate the high beam headlights to continue driving. The contact stated that the failure with the low beam headlights was intermittent. The contact stated there was no warning light illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The contact purchased replacement bulbs for the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The contact researched and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V519000 (Exterior Lighting) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 153,000.

The contact owns a 2007 GMC Envoy. When the vehicle was started, the daytime running lamps were activated and the green indicator was illuminated. After approximately 90 seconds, the daytime running lamps deactivated and the green indicator was no longer illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred two other times. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the headlight module failed and needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 208,000.
