FUEL TANK IS POORLY DESIGNED. SHAPE ALLOWS ROAD CRAP TO SIT ON TOP OF THE TANK. THIS PROMOTES CORROSION WHICH LEADS TO LEAKS. TANK , SENDER AND FITTINGS SHOULD BE COATED WITH RUST PROOFING. TO FIX A LEAK AT THE REAR SEAM THE DEALER HAD TO REMOVE THE TANK. THEY COULD NOT UNDO THE COUPLINGS SO THEY CUT THEM OFF. THEN QUOTED $ 600 FOR THE TANK AND $ 500 FOR THE SENDER PLUS LABOR. THEIR MECHANIC ADMITS THEY HAVE DONE MANY REPLACEMENTS.
