I had just bought a used Jimmy off a private owner that seemed to be in pretty good shape. The only problem i was having seemed to be that the controls for the side mirrors didn`t seem to work very well. Not thinking it was a very big deal i ignored it. Two weeks later while driving down the road just going for a ride i started to smell something burning. When i pulled off to the side of the road and reached for the door handle so that i could get up and look around to try to find were the smell was coming from i noticed the mirror control was smoking. I removed the control panel as fast as possible and unplugged the mirror control. When i went to the junk yard thinking i could just grab another from there i noticed almost every Jimmy on the lot seemed to be missing the mirror control and there was slight melting of the plastic around where it should have been. HOW ABOUT A RECALL!! I`m obviously not alone with this problem.
