the two interior park assist indicators "see" the trailer hitch/ball and deactivate the park assist feature. Each time you start eh car or shift into reverse, the dash shows "Park Assist is off". Besides not having the feature work, you have to push the dash button to then see your mileage and other features.
I've asked GM to disconnect the two middle sensors, but their solution to the problem is to remove the trailer hitch/ball at all the times. As stated - this is a PITA.
