The contact owns a 2003 GMC Sierra 2500 with Firestone steeltex A/T tires, line size LT245 75/R16, dot number vn11bac1403. The contact stated that the tread separated on the rear driver side tire. In addition, the tread was also exhibiting signs of premature tread separation on the remaining three tires. The manufacturer advised that the tires were not on recall and would not provide any assistance. The failure mileage was 45,000.
