The contact owns 2008 GMC Sierra 3500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 mph, the vehicle exhibited low engine power with an illumination of the fuel filter warning indicator on the instrument panel. The failure recurred six times. On a separate occasion the vehicle stalled and failed to restart. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the fuel filter which had be replaced seven different times before. The remedy failed to repair the problem. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 68,000.
