Took it to GMC, they dropped the tank, couldn't find anything wrong. Spoken with other owners and they have the same issue.
Update from Sep 17, 2015: Not fix, but a friend with a 2005 figured out if you put the fuel handle in the 2-3 o'clock position while fueling, it doesn't shut off as much.
