Accord EX V6

This is my 2nd Honda accord my last one was 1990 with 215000 miles no problems. Purchased a 2006 v6 to replace my trouble free 1990. This is a know problem with Honda transmission failure my failed driving up a hill snapped transmission. Towed in to shop told car thought it was in reverse what happened to mine. Then was told maybe it was driver error, What in the Hell would make me put a car in reverse in rush hour traffic while going 40mph!! This car has been maintained by manufacturers guidelines. THIS IS MY LAST HONDA!! Honda wants to put in refurbished for 3500+ with a 3yr 36000 mile warranty i found transmission shop to do it for 2700 plus a 100000 mile warranty.
