CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.
For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.
Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.
1) Electrical problem has not been resolved has happened at random since april 2015.
2) Happened in grocery store parking lot - engine wasn't even started.
3) Happened while driving car at night - very scary.
4) Happened at dealer after they had it four hours - no resolution - was told to take it back to original dealer due to remote start. - Planet Honda in Union.
5) Original dealer DCH ( Sucks) had the car two days - no repairs - couldn't replicate - but left the damn TPMS light on.
So TPMS is on with fully inflated tires at proper inflation, does not reset itself. I reset it - and it turned back on.
No repairs have been made or attempted, no upgrades nothing, but a headache - and Honda doesn't care that I've called the corporate office - spoken to the dch manager - and gotten nowhere. I want out of the car and it's the last Honda I will ever own. I've had four Accords since 2007 (leased) and this is the worst one ever.
Update from Jan 8, 2016: took car back into planet honda dealt 12/31
** no problems with any tires - no plugs - reset the toms.
now the tpms has flicked on then off, then on and off, but has been off now for about 4 days solid.
Update from Jan 27, 2016: TPS is on again after being told by Planet Honda, there are no problems with the car.
Dec 31st 2015.
TPS turned on 2 days ago - it's going back to the dealer.
Remote start- isn't starting - but planet honda can't touch it as they didn't install it.
Has to go back to DCH - but all the lights flicker with the remote start - when it try's to remote start.
