CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013-2014 Honda Accord is showing signs of an electrical problem with the starter failing soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. It's compounded by reports that the OEM battery doesn't have sufficient amps to start the V6 reliably after a year or two.

For now we are rating this problem with the "Beware" seal because it's occurring so soon after the 36K mile warranty expires. The upshot is when your Accord won't start, that's never good, but especially bad when it's just a few years old.

Also once again, owners are complaining that the 2014 Honda Accord seats are uncomfortable. Uncomfortable seats has been a significant complaint with the Accord since the 2008 model year.

Its intermittent. There is a service bulletin (TSB14-067) but I found out about it too late. Need to deal with Honda Canada. I wish Honda would inform their customers of service bulletins so if you notice that you have the same problem, you know what to do.

Accord Sport 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission

That rattle noise started to get worse, but I was too busy to take it in to the Honda dealer. After few more months it started to get very annoying, so finally took it in. There was a TSB on the front strut nuts loosening so the shop foreman applied lock time liquid thread compound so the nut wouldn't come loose again. Finally no more noise

When making a turn or going over a bump / hump, the car's suspension makes a loud metallic pop like a bushing is offset when the weight of the car is shifted when making turns or when parking, or while going over speed bumps when the body weight shifts. This is very annoying.

Accord LX 4 cyl

  • CVT transmission
  • 6,800 miles

At about 6800 miles, my 2014 Honda Accord 4 LX started making a tapping/clicking/rattling sound coming from the front right (it sounded like a metal BB bouncing around on plastic). The noise was constant as long as the car was in motion at any speed. I thought it was in the passenger compartment and searched everywhere to try to find what was making the noise.

Finally after becoming sufficiently annoyed and frustrated, I took the car to Honda Santa Monica have it checked out. After a few hours they called and said it was fixed. They said they had to tighten the front right suspension. I seriously doubted this fix, but, so far it's been noise free and it's been about 3 weeks.

Update from Mar 20, 2015: Update:

After I had the suspension tightened, the same noise came back about 4 weeks later. I took the car in two more times. On the third trip to the dealer (odo 9,000 miles) they told me the right front suspension was defective and put in a brand new suspension on that side.
